Privacy Policy

Overview

DAPT is a health and fitness app that helps you cook bowls from ingredients you already have and follow guided workouts. This policy covers the app and this website. It describes what we collect, why, where it is stored and how to get it removed. By using the app or the site you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

• Email address and account name when you sign in with Google or with email and password. Used only to authenticate you and to greet you on the home screen.
• A user identifier assigned by Firebase Authentication. It is not your email. It attaches your saved data to your account.
• App preferences: your name, dietary preferences, the macros toggle, your preferred workout level and equipment, favourite bowls and favourite workouts. Stored in Firestore so they sync across your devices.
• Injuries and limitations you choose to select in your profile, such as a shoulder, knee or back limitation or a post-surgery setting. Used only to leave the matching exercises out of your sessions. You can leave this empty.
• Workout activity: which workouts you have completed, by id only. Not how long or how many reps.
• Crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics, collected automatically when the app crashes so we can fix bugs.
• Anonymous usage events through Firebase Analytics, such as a workout being started or completed and which screens were opened. They are tied to your account identifier, not your email, and carry no content from the screens.
• Waitlist email if you join the waitlist on this website. We store the email address, which page you joined from and the time. It is used for one launch email and nothing else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

What we do not collect

• No location.
• No contacts or address book.
• No camera or microphone access.
• No advertising identifiers. The app shows no ads.
• No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not share data with advertisers.
• No health data from your phone. No HealthKit or Google Fit integration. The only health-related information is the injuries or limitations you choose to tell the app about.

Where your data lives

All data, including the waitlist, is stored in Google Firebase, operated by Google LLC under Google's privacy practices, in the US Central region. We do not run our own servers and we do not share your data with anyone other than Google Firebase as needed to run the app and this site. All traffic between the app, the site and Firebase is encrypted in transit.

How long we keep it

• Account data (email, profile, preferences, favourites) is kept while your account is active.
• Crash reports and analytics events are kept for Firebase's default periods, currently 14 months for analytics and 90 days for crash reports.
• Waitlist emails are deleted after the launch email has gone out, or sooner on request.
• After you delete your account your profile, favourites, injury and limitation selections, preferences, workout history, progression and sign-in are permanently removed. Anonymous analytics counts and crash reports that carry no personal details are not tied back to you and expire on Firebase's schedule above.

Your rights

• Access: email us and we will send you the contents of your user record.
• Correct: your name, dietary preferences, macros toggle and favourites can be edited in the app.
• Delete: open Profile in the app and tap Delete account. You confirm with your password (or sign in with Google again) and type DELETE. Everything above is removed straight away and you are signed out. If you cannot use the app, email us from the address on your account and we will remove your data within 30 days.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app on the next launch.
